PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To repeatedly use a layer thickness regulating member at the time of recycling a developing device. SOLUTION: The lower surface of the layer thickness regulating member 23 abuts on the peripheral surface of a developing roller 21 over the entire length of the roller 21 in the axial direction. Two extended parts 23a and 23b are formed in a direction orthogonal to the axial direction of the roller 21 at the upper edge in the member 23. Either the extended part 23a or 23b is attachably/detachably engaged at a recessed part 25a opened downward with a holder 23 at both ends in the axial direction. By engaging the extended part 23a or 23b with the holder 25, the member 23 is supported by the holder 25. At the time of recycling the developing device 20, for example, the extended part 23b is made to fit to the holder 25 instead of the extended part 23a, thereby, a position where the lower surface of the member 23 abuts on the peripheral surface of the roller 21 is changed to the direction orthogonal to the axial direction of the roller 21. |
