<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a double-talk monitor for an echo canceller that surely detects occurrence of a double-talk state in the case of training. SOLUTION: A device is provided with a training signal output section 5 that outputs a training signal of a prescribed level, an echo amount calculation section 4 that calculates an echo amount to be eliminated based on the training signal outputted from the training signal output section 5, an echo elimination section 4 that eliminates an echo component in a signal line based on the echo amount calculated by the echo amount calculation section 4, a level detection section 6 that detects a peak level of an input signal with respect to the echo amount calculation section 4, and a comparison section 7 that compares a peak level detected by the level detection section 6 with a preset reference level. When the level of the input signal exceeds a preset value as the result of comparison by the comparison section, the echo amount calculation section 4 calculates again the echo amount.</p> |
