PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge lamp inverter so that a light reception part for receiving infrared remote control signals can be mounted also on the same printed circuit board in a rational circuit block arrangement. SOLUTION: A light reception part 2 for receiving infrared remote control signals, a rectification part 3 of an AC power source, a chopper 4 for causing the high-frequency switching of output of the rectification part 3, and an inverter part 5 for turning on a discharge lamp for effecting the high-frequency oscillation by the output of the chopper 4 are arranged in order along a lengthwise direction of a long printed circuit board 1. If the chopper 4 is not needed, the output of the rectification part 3 may be power-supplied to the inverter part 5. In addition, a miniature bulb socket M is located between the light reception part 2 and the rectification part 3. |
