PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide system for probing whether a breaker or a switch is mounted on a power cable of not, along with a useable indoor cable surely and easily, and grasping the layout condition of indoor power fables easily when a transmitting apparatus using a power lime carrier is mounted. SOLUTION: A signal transmitting device 9 transmits a test signal to a power line 11 on the basis of a signal generating command from a signal detecting device 12. The signal transmitting device 9 detects whether a commercial frequency power supply is mounted on the power line 11 or not and transmits the result to the signal detecting device 12. The signal detecting device 12 turns on or off a signal receiving display LED 12e on the basis of the test signal included on the power line 11. In this way, whether the commercial frequency power supply is mounted on the power line or not is displayed on a power- supply state showing display LED 12 on the basis of the testing signal detected by the signal transmitting device 9.
