Interface circuit for data transfer between data processors

The interface circuit (1) allows data transfer between at least 2 data processors (2,3), each provided with a serial interface (4,5) which conforms to a different stanard. The interface circuit uses successive function blocks (I,II,III,IV,V,VI,VII), for converting bit cells of a serial dataword fed in one direction into corresponding bit cells with a constant pulse width independent of the Baud rate and for synchronising data fed in the opposite direction with the Baud rate employed by the receiving data processor. The data transfer in the opposite directions may be effected via a half duplex mode.
