<p>A method and system for monitoring a health condition of an individual. At least one physiological parameter of the individual is continuously measured and corresponding measured data is generated. The measured data is processed so as to detect potential danger in the health condition. Upon detecting the potential danger, a warning signal representative of the potential danger and reasons for applying for assistance is generated and transmitted to a certain cellular phone device (20) accommodated in the vicinity of the individual. Upon receipt of the warning signal by the cellular phone device (20), its time-out utility is actuated for providing, during a predetermined period of time, an indication so as to indicate to the individual to initiate contact with the cellular phone device (20). Upon initiating contact with the cellular phone device (20) within the predetermined time period, the warning signal in the form of an informational message is transmitted to the individual.</p> |
