A line roller guide (5) can be moved (11) 2-3 mm parallel to the line reel rotation axis and held as desired, with the roller (6) positioned alongside the reel (6). The roller (5) bearer arm (4) should be adjustably mounted in the direction (11) of the reel axis and roller movement is obtained from an infinite manually operated cam arrangement, with the cam rotatably carried on the roller (1) so as to engage and thus move the bearer arm (4). An adjuster disc (17) co-rotatably fitted to the cam has an externally accessible engagement surface. An intermediate adjuster disc is fitted to the roller (1) and equipped with noses to engage recesses in the bearer arm (4), with noses and recesses lying in the direction of the arm movement (11). The cam should be arranged rotatably and slidably in a hollow cylindrical collar part of the bearer arm.
