TAKE-UP MECHANISM AND PRINTER USING THE MECHANISM

A take-up mechanism for taking up recording paper such as journal paper and a printer in which the mechanism is used. Recording paper can be taken up stably with a simple construction without requiring high component precision and assembly precision. A printer (1) has a take-up mechanism (5) for taking up recording paper (7) such as journal paper on the back of a printer body (3). The take-up shaft (23) of the take-up mechanism (5) is supported by a cantilever supporting plate (24) and has a flange (25) on the supporting plate (24) side. The take-up shaft (23) is so inclined as to have a paper feeding path length of its end part on which the flange (25) is not provided longer than the paper feeding path length of its end part on which the flange (25) is provided. The printed recording paper (7) is taken up on the take-up shaft (23) through the flat surface part (22a) of a writing table (22) for printing correction. Protrusions (220a and 220b) are provided on both the end parts in the paper feeding direction of the flat surface part (22a). As a result, the paper feeding path length of the center part in the width direction of the recording paper is longer than the paper feeding path lengths of both the end parts in the width direction.
