PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color image processor, capable of closely reproducing a color close to that of an original, even when a replica which is duplicated without correcting its color is duplicated again. SOLUTION: This processor 10 is constituted of an input means 102 for reading image information of a colored original picture x and an output means 107 to process a color signal obtained by the input means 102 and to output the color signal as a color image. If this case, an inverse conversionΦ<-1> of a transfer functionΦwhen the input means 102 and the output means 107 are regarded as one system is repeated for a number of times according to the portion of frequency of duplication from the original picture x by providing inverse conversion means (106, 109).
