摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a perpendicular magnetic recording composite head capable of suppressing deviation in recording tracks and reproducing tracks accompanying a skew angle change, improving high track density and reducing a cost with simple constitution. SOLUTION: A reproducing head 17 is arranged in the inside of a recording closed magnetic path 19 so that an upper part shield 3 is parallel to a main magnetic pole 23, and the upper part shield 3 and a lower part shield 1 are set to film thickness of 1-0.8μm. Since a long distance between the recording head and reproducing head caused by a usual technique arranging the recording head and reproducing head side by side is shortened, even when the skew angle is changed, the matter that the deviation occurs between the tracks of the recording head 18 and reproducing head 17 is suppressed, and recording density in the track width direction and linear direction are improved, and high recording density is obtained. Since the upper part shield 3 and lower part shield 1 are thinned, manufacture is facilitated, and thereby a device is made at a low cost.
