The rotary displacement pump has a wedge-shaped pressure transfer unit (14) with wedge surfaces running radially in relation to the concentric axis (4), to lie against each other with virtually no free play. The pressure transfer unit (14) is of made of plastics, at least at the end towards the membrane (11), preferably of polyether-etherketone. The base plate (3) and/or the retainer (6) and/or the clamping plate (24) are made of a shape-stable plastics such as polyurethane (PU) or polyamide (PA). The membrane (11) is of an elastomer.
