Adsorptive gas drying control

Operation of adsorptive dryers having two identical vessels comprises passing a portion of the dried gas into the vessel with material in the desorption phase. A downstream temperature sensor (26, 27) in the vessel sends signals to a control unit (30) at regular intervals. The control unit calculates the temperature differences of subsequent measurements and when these are smaller than a given standard the desorption cycle is terminated. In the meantime the adsorption cycle runs its regular course after which the gas flow is reversed to interchange the functions of the vessels. Also claimed is the apparatus used in the above process.
