The control system regulates the performance of an internal combustion engine. The partial pressure of the fresh air portion at the gas mass flow (mpab) is registered by setting a mass balance for a fresh gas mass flow, in order to determine the amount of gas filling for an internal combustion engine, fitted with an intake pipe. The partial pressure of the exhaust gas portion at the gas mass flow is determined by setting a mass balance for an exhaust gas mass flow. There may be an assembly with a receiver to take measured values and an electronic computer unit with a control program with the required parameters.
