The video signal mixer includes a number of operating elements for controlling the function of the mixer, to provide the required mixing of a number of different video signals. At least one interface (18) is provided for connection to an external video storage apparatus (24,25). Additional operating elements are coupled to a control unit (13) providing corresponding control signals fed to the interface. The control signals may be used for controlling a video tape recorder or video disc recorder coupled to the interface.
