A scraper is inserted into one end of the pipe (1) and moved along the interior of the pipe so as to force the core of earth (2) out of the other end of the pipe. A gauge piece (7) covered in the front by a form of shield, is surpassed by a guide pipe (5) closed at the guide-tip (6) and mechanically fixed to the gauge piece. The rear of the device has fittings for a ram (3), in the form of an adapter (4) for the ram. The gauge piece has one or more cleaning-sleeves (2).
