<p>PURPOSE:To certainly detect the abnormality of a wheel speed sensor early by judging the fault of the wheel speed sensor on the basis of the output of each wheel speed sensor when a vehicle speed of a determined speed or more is detected, and a traction control means does not perform suppression control of driving torque. CONSTITUTION:A slip control unit UTR has a fault detecting means which judges faults such as abnormality of various memory means built in the unit UTR and failure of ROM AND RAM, performs the system-down of an ABS control means and a traction control means, and alarms the fault of wheel speed sensors 63-66 to a driver. In the fault detecting means, when the vehicle speed V by a vehicle speed sensor 62 is a determined vehicle speed (for example, 3 kg/h) or more, and no traction control is performed, the fault judgment for each of wheel speed sensors 63-66 is conducted, and only when no fault is detected, the operation of an anti-lock brake system is permitted.</p> |
