<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the bulking phenomenon, etc., of activated sludge by filamentaous bacteria by using a water soluble polymer which is the reaction product of amine and dihalogeno alkyl ether as the abnormal phenomenon preventive agent for the activated sludge. CONSTITUTION:An aq. soln. of 20 to 70% amine is charged into a hermetic type reactor equipped with a stirrer, reflux cooler, thermometer, etc., and the atmosphere in the reactor is substd. with gaseous nitrogen. While the temp. in the reactor is controlled under stirring, dihalogenoalkyl ether of the mol nearly equal to the mol of the amine is continuously added or batchwise to the soln. to effect a reaction and to form the water soluble polymer. This water soluble ovemer is added to the activated sludge contg. the filamentaous bacteria or actinomycetes or the waste water contg. the activated sludge at 0.05 to 25 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. dry solid content of the activated sludge, by which the abnormal phenomenon of the activated sludge is prevented.</p> |
