For protection against electrostatic discharge in electronic apparatuses, a circuit or a component (201) having a connected signal conductor (202) and a discharge conductor (203) connected thereto, is provided with a pointed free end facing and spaced from a pointed free end of a feed conductor (209), together forming a spark gap between the discharge conductor (203) and the feed conductor (209). Each of the feed conductor (203) and the discharge conductor (209) is arranged with several points (206, 207; 212, 213) forming multiple spark gaps (214, 215) between them.
