As a result, the presence or absence of an obstacle (28) on a forward side in a proceeding direction of the catheter is sensed on the basis of a sensor output signal (SS1) from the pressure sensor (10). A change of the sensor output signal (SS1) is converted to a sound by a means (45) for making signals audible.
