The exhaust gas system is for a multicylinder internal combustion engine. It has exhaust pipes which open into the side of the exhaust gas collection chamber. The exhaust pipes can open into the collection chamber in a number of directions. Alternatively they may run into the collection chamber parallel to the plane of the outlet flange.
