Disclosed is a method for moving an elastic and buckling-sensitive transport medium (3, 13, 25, 32), whereby sharp buckling is prevented by moving said transport medium along two big curves (5, 6) which cover two different planes (1, 2) forming an angle. Said planes intersect along a cutting plane line. The transport medium segment follows said cutting plane line.
