A urea-containing component for a skin care composition is claimed where the urea forms inclusion compounds with fatty acids and/or fatty acid compounds. Preferably the fatty acid compositions are fatty acid ethyl esters. The fatty acids are at least in part polyunsaturated, especially omega-3 fatty acids. Preferably the fatty acids are selected from octadecatetraenic acid, arachidonic acid, eicosapentaenoic acid, docosapentaenoic acid and/or docosahexaenoic acid. The complexes are obtained as a residue by filtration of oil. The oil used has a low content of straight chain fatty acids.
