Preparation of a catalyst consisting of a support comprising an oxide of Si, Al, Ti, Zr, Sn, Zn, Mg or a rare earth, Co, Ti and an element A chosen from Cu, Ru, Pt, Pd, Sc and Yt comprises the following stages: (1) formation of a pre-cursor comprising Co, element A and the support; (2) at least partial reduction of the precursor in the presence of a reducing agent; (3) deposition of Ti on the reduced precursor. Also claimed is the catalyst and its use in the synthesis of hydrocarbons by the Fischer-Tropsch method. |
