Process for the fabrication of fibre reinforced composite materials

For the fabrication of fibre reinforced composite materials, an endless fibre strand is drawn through a moving aqueous thermoplastic-powdered dispersion by means of deflecting elements. After removing the water phase, the thermoplastic powder is heated and melted onto the fibres. Finally, the fibre strand is impregnated by melt pultrusion with a polymer melt.
