Antihypertensive compounds of the formula (I) wherein R2 is -CHO or -COOH. If R2 is -CHO then R1 is methyl, ethyl, i-propyl or t-butyl. If R2 is -COOH then R1 is ethyl or i-propyl. These compounds are used as effective antihypertensive agents.
