1,085,084. Spray carburetters. RUBERY OWEN & CO. Ltd. Feb. 21, 1966 [March 2, 1965 (2)], Nos. 8782/65 and 8783/65. Heading F1 B . Main and compensating jets deliver fuel through emulsion tubes 23 and 24 into the main air inlet passage of rectangular cross-section and are so disposed that their axes lie in a plane extending longitudinally within and bisecting the passage. Two plates 11, 12 are pivoted in synchronism about axes 15, 16 by linkage 28-30 in response to movement of a butterfly throttle valve 25. Rotation of the valve 25 produces rotation of a cam 26 which is followed by a roller 27. The synchronized movement of the two plates may be produced by gearing their two pivot pins to a common rack or by connecting the pins to equisized meshing gear segments.
