The time dependant load is applied to the structure according to a pre-defined law, whilst at the same time recording the acoustic activity generated by the damage caused, upto a pre-defined level. A correlation is made between, the acoustic emission recorded and given relation expressed in the form: dE/dt is proportional to (th((tr - t) divided by DELTA ))<-)< alpha ) (1 + Ccos2 divided by log lambda (log(th((tr - t) divided by DELTA )) + )), in which dE/dt is the variation of acoustic energy generated by the damage, t is the time, tr is the time instant of rupture, DELTA , alpha , C, lambda and are coefficients, in order to determine the prediction value of the rupture load from the pre-established law linking the time to the load. The co-efficient DELTA satisfies the relationship: DELTA ≥ tr - tp in which tp is the stop time of the applied load.
|
