The wiper assembly (100) which has a wiper arm (10) and rubber blade (12) also has means (18) which execute a swivel movement of the entire rubber blade (12) or arm about an axis parallel to the longitudinal direction of the arm and/or a relative movement of the rubber blade from the wiping plane. The swivel means can be a roller mounted rotatable in the wiper arm. The roller rotates about an axis parallel to the longitudinal extension of the arm. The rubber blade is fixed in a protrusion of the roller.
