Superconductor; current lead and method of manufacturing the superconductor

In a superconductor, a mixture phase of Bi-2212 and Bi-2223 having both advantages can be obtained without Pb. Specifically, the mixture phase has a composition ratio which is specified by 1-X : X. Herein, X falls within the range between 0.4 and 0.8. The mixture phase is realized by the following manufacturing process. Namely, a raw material powder containing Bi, Sr, Ca and Cu is first prepared. Next, the raw material powder is repeatedly sintered at predetermined sintering temperatures. In this case, the sintering temperatures of the second time and latter are set lower than that of the first time. <IMAGE>
