PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and firmly mount a cover on a baseplate and to reduce the manufacturing cost of an airbag device. SOLUTION: This airbag device 1 has a cover 12, an airbag 15, and an inflator 16, which are mounted on a baseplate 11. The circumferential wall part 42 of the cover 12 is fitted over the outer peripheral surface of the circumferential plate part 22 of the baseplate 11, and an annular frame is fitted over the outer peripheral surface of the circumferential wall part 42. The inside of a corner of the circumferential wall part 42 is recessed to form an expanding part 44 which is small in thickness and easy to deform, and when the circumferential wall part 42 is fitted over the outer peripheral surface of the circumferential plate part 22 and when the annular frame is fitted over the outer peripheral surface of the circumferential wall part 42, the expanding part 44 expands or contracts, absorbing dimensional errors and thereby facilitating the assembly operation. |
