RETAINING WALL ASSEMBLY UTILIZING FACE PANELS INTERLOCKED WITH TIE-BACK/ANCHORS

A retaining wall assembly is provided herein having a wall face comprised of a plurality of engaging face plates which interlock with tie-backs. In each face plate, at least two sides are provided with locking recesses which are displaced rearwa rdly from the front face. Each tie-back has an elongated base portion and an integral interlocking flange arranged at one of the body. Through its interlocking flange s, each tie-back interlocks with four adjacent side blocks. The tie-backs enhance t he stability of the retaining wall assembly. The face plates are arranged side-by-s ide in a plurality of courses. The face plates of the top course are offset from the fa ce plates of the bottom course. The tie-backs, which are arranged between the top a nd bottom courses, interlock with each bottom face placed in the bottom course with at least two face plates in the top course.
