PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a recyclable formed fiber material having excellent compressive springiness and recovery and useful for cushioning material, etc., by using respectively specific fiber A and flame-retardant fiber B and bonding the fibers at the contact points between the fibers A and between the fiber A and the other fiber. SOLUTION: This formed fiber material contains a fiber A composed of two or more kinds of fibers such as polyester or nylon 6 and at least containing a thermoplastic polymer R1 having a melting point lower than that of the other fiber and flame-retardant fiber B containing a linear or cyclic phosphazene compound expressed by formula I or formula II (X1 to X4 and Y1 to Y4 are each amino or phenoxy) and the fibers are bonded with each other at a part of the contact points between the fibers A and between the fiber A and the other fiber. Preferably, the total number of the phenoxy groups in the phosphazene compound is >=2 and the fiber A is a sheath-core conjugate fiber containing the thermoplastic polymer R1 as the sheath part and a thermoplastic polymer R2 having a melting point higher than that of the thermoplastic polymer R1 as the core part. |
