<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating waste water by which especially phosphorus in the waste water is efficiently removed. SOLUTION: Waste waters mixed with activated sludge and intermittently aerated in an aeration tank, after aerobic state and an anaerobic state are alternately repeated, the treated water is separated from the activated sludge to remove org. matter, nitrogen and phosphorus in the waste water. In this intermittent-aeration activated sludge process, the amount of the easy-to- decompose BOD in the waste to be treated is controlled so as to be >=9 times by a weight ratio to the amount of the phosphorus in the waste water.</p> |
