摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a catalyst enabling the production of carboxylic ester with high selectivity and a little by-product by specifying the atomic ratio between Pd and Bi in a catalyst and specifying X-ray diffraction angle at the highest peak in the powder X-ray diffraction pattern of the catalyst. SOLUTION: In this catalyst, the atomic ratio between Pd and Bi is 3:0.8 to 3:1.4. The powder X-ray diffraction pattern of this catalyst has the highest intensity peak at 38.55-38.85 deg. X-ray diffraction angle (2θ). The atomic ratio between Pd and Bi is measured by an induction coupling emission spectrochemical analysis method. The X-ray diffraction angle (2θ) at the highest intensity peak is measured using CuKα1 rays (1.5405981Å) after the catalyst is freed of low molecular absorbed and occluded components.</p>
