PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reversible recording material, having no additional constitution such as the interposing of a deposited aluminum layer or an air layer, keeping transparency and improved in contrast, and, especially, provide the reversible thermal recording material, improved in the transparency by preventing the dispersion of light in an interface and improved in the eliminating property of picture to improve the contrast and durability when the forming and elimination of the picture are repeated, and provide a new method, capable of adjusting the distributing condition of organic monomeric substance particles in a thermal recording layer in the manufacture of such a reversible thermal recording material. SOLUTION: In a reversible thermal recording material, provided with a resin matrix and a thermal layer, containing the principal constituent of organic monomeric substance dispersed in the resin matrix, on a substrate and changing the transparency thereof reversibly depending on a temperature, the grain size and the contents of the particles of organic monomeric substance in the heat sensitive layer are bigger at the surface side thereof than those at the side of the substrate. |
