The present invention is directed to a radial tire for cars equipped with an anti-lock braking system. The tire is comprised of a tread and a sidewall, the tread being formed from a rubber selected from the group consisting of natural rubber, isoprene rubber and butadiene rubber. The tread has a tan .delta. peak temperature of -60 to -40.degree.C in a viscoelasticity (tan .delta.) temperature distribution curve, and an acetone extraction of not more than 22%.
