<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently reduce the volume of a material to be treated such as foamed polystyrene. SOLUTION: A treatment tank 10 for storing and heating a heating medium liquid, a frame 20 with a bottom plate 21 and a pressurizing plate 30 are combined all together. The heating medium liquid is heated up to the softening point or higher of the material to be treated in the tank 10, and the material to be treated is immersed in the heating medium liquid and softened therein by the frame 20, and the softened material to be treated is pressurized by the given pressurizing force of the pressurizing plate 30 to reduce the volume of the material to be treated into the high density plane plate shape.</p> |
