PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate whether or not a developer is to pass each group of control electrodes by detecting at a detecting part whether or not gates of the control electrodes adjacent to each other are in a state to allow the developer to pass. SOLUTION: A detecting part where an arrangement pattern of a control electrode 20 is stored beforehand compares the arrangement pattern with image data after the arrangement is converted. Whether or not each gate lets a toner 12 pass is judged from the result, and a gate having an adjacent gate where the toner 12 is to pass is detected. If the gate where the toner 12 is to pass is present adjacent to one gate, the information is sent to a CPU, whereby a voltage to be impressed to the control electrode 20 is varied in accordance with the information, or a voltage to be impressed to a toner carrier body 10 is varied. The detecting part can correctly detect a position of the gate of the control electrode 20 which is required to be corrected. |
