PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve unilateral abrasion resistance of a motorcycle pneumatic tire provided with a pair of circumferential main grooves on both sides of the equatorial surface of a tire tread to improve performance for riding comfort and wet gripping. SOLUTION: With regard to a motorcycle pneumatic tire of a tread pattern not including any circumferential main groove on the tire equatorial surface O but including a pair of circumferential main grooves of practically the same width as that of the tire equational surface O on both sides of the tire equational surface O, the sum of the width of the pair of circumferential main grooves 1a, 1b is within the range of 10 to 50% of the tire ground width and the respective pairs of circumferential main grooves 1a, 1b exist within the range of 10 to 50% of the tire ground width from the tire equational surface O to one side of the tread, while the pair of main grooves 1a, 1b include a striation or a sipe 2 in the tire width direction on at lest the ground area, when making a straight advance, of the tread shoulder side land part A so that the tread rigidity may be lower than the tire equational surface side land part. |
