发明名称 METHOD FOR CONTINUOUSLY CASTING MOLTEN METAL
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the high improving effects of lubrication and surface characteristic of a cast slab in the initial solidifying stage by forming a mold for continuos casting on the side wall forming fine dent parts on the surface, continuously supplying AC current and continuously casting while impressing electromagnetic force to molten metal in the mold. SOLUTION: Solid powder 5 exists on the surface of the mold 1 formed with the fine dent parts. In succession of the solid powder 5, molten powder 4, solidified shell 3 and molten metal 2 exist. The molten metal is difficult to enter into the dent parts with pinch force of electromagnetic force generated by an electromagnetic coil 6. In the dent part, the distance between the surface of the mold 1 and the solidified shell 3 is larger than that of the part having no dent part, and then, the thickness of the molten powder 4 is increased. At the dent parts the lubrication is improved and the lubrication of the whole circumference of a meniscus is averagely improved. It is desirable that the dent part is 0.1-10 mm diameter and 0.1-1 mm depth and the adjacent distance between two dent parts is 0.1-5×(diameter).
