PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject formulation having physiological activities by including a clathrate of a higher aliphatic alcohol with cyclodextrin. SOLUTION: This formulation contains a clathrate of a 22-38C higher aliphatic alcohol with a γ-cyclodextrin, e.g. consisting of a 8 glucose molecules, which form a cyclic structure through an 1-4 bond of D-glucose. Additives such as tocopherol as a stabilizer, a glyceride, lecithin, an emulsifier, a flavor, an oil- soluble vitamin, etc., can be included. The higher alcohol and cyclodextrin are used in 0.001-20 wt.% and 80-99.999 wt.% respectively. Thus, the formulation is soluble in water, excellently absorbable by living bodies and expresses sufficient physiological activities with a little amount of administration. |
