<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a culture vessel assembly equipped with means for changing the diffusion rates of a gas going in or out the culture vessel assembly and further with means for substantially minimizing the passage of biological contaminants and used for the growth of cells or the culture of a tissue in vitro, to provide a lid used for the assembly, and to provide a method for culturing the tissue with the culture vessel assembly. SOLUTION: This tissue culture assembly 10 comprises a plate 20 having a plurality of wells 26 having opened edges 32 and standing sidewalls 28 forming the outer edges of the wells, respectively, and a lid 50 comprising a flat cover 52 having a plurality of orifices 72 having gas-permeable membranes 74 attached to thereto, respectively, and further, detachably having a gas-impermeable film. Therein, the orifices 72 can be arranged in a state aligned to the wells, respectively, to improve the exchange of a gas, and the gas-impermeable film can perfectly or partially peeled off to adjust the diffusion of the gas.</p> |
