The protective casing for hi-fi equipment includes a rectangular panel (1) which is fixed to the vehicle by retaining screws (7). This panel includes four female socket clips (2) enabling the provision of a 12v or 24v electrical supply to the hi-fi equipment, and at the same time preventing vertical or horizontal slipping of the equipment. A second removable panel (4) forms a base on which the hi-fi equipment may be mounted, and includes a handle (3). This panel includes male connections (5) co-operating with the female sockets on the fixed base. A protective cover (6) is fitted to the removable panel in order to enclose and protect the hi-fi equipment. The cover may be made with various overall sizes according to the equipment to be included.
