Rear suspension for motor vehicles

The rear suspension has a cross beam (1) connected to two longitudinally opposite support arms (2) for supporting the rear wheels and releasably attached to these wheels by dismantlable connectors (8) e.g. pins. The cross beam is fixed to each of the arms by end flanges (7) having a plane face supported by the connectors, along a plane parallel to the longitudinal medial vertical plane of the vehicle. The end of the suspension arm (2) is attached to the chassis at the point (5) by a bolt passing through the bush (4). The suspension arms are sprung to the chassis by coil springs or other suitable methods and spaced apart by the member (1) which is rigidly attached to both arms and is torsionally flexible.
