The signboard (1) consists of a hollow transparent panel (8), e.g. of'Plexiglass' (RTM), curved in shape with its concave side facing towards the wearer, and containing a number of transparent signs which can be reeled from one cylinder to another. The panel is held on the wearer's back by shoulder supports (4) and a waist band (5) in two sections with inflatable inner pads. The signs are in the form of a transparent strip, e.g. of PVC, which can be reeled from one roller to another inside the hollow panel by a drive with controls on the waist band. It can also contain neon lights to illuminate the signs.
