<p>A water-driven power generator having a water wheel 10 turned by falling water, which rotates a drive shaft 22. Movement of the drive shaft 22, via a pulley system, causes the rotation of endless chains 34, to which are attached a pair of drive rods 40 via yokes 38 at their ends, the other ends of the rods being movably attached to levers 56. Each drive rod 40 is attached to a crank on a crank shaft 50, such that the rotation of the water wheel 10 is transferred to movement of the crank 50. The power rods 40 include a piston-like section 42, incorporating captive bearings 44 and a spring 46, to take up any unevenness in stroke.</p> |
