PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high grade magenta-based image by a method wherein at least one kind of pyrazolone compounds represented with a specified formula as a coupler is included. SOLUTION: Pyrazolone compounds employed as a coupler are represented with a formula, in which R is preferably a 1-20C alkyl group allowing to have branches, a substitutable 6-10C aryl group or a 2-20C acyl group. When R is the alkyl group, a halogen group, an alkoxyl group and a aryl oxy group are exampled as its substituent. Or, when R is the aryl group, a halogen group, an alkoxyl group, an aryl oxy group, a cyano group and an acyl amino group are exampled as its substituent. Or, when R is the acyl group, an alkoxy group, an aryl toxy group, a halogen group, an amino group and the like are exampled as its substituent. A is preferably a saturated or unsaturated cyclic five membered ring of cyclic six membered ring, a benzene ring or a hetero ring. As for X, -CO-, -SO2 - are exampled under the condition being not intended to limit the X. |
