PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to select a pounding state of rice cakes according to a condition selected, by equipping a heater controller to steam glutinous rice by heated water and a pounding-divider selection means which can indicate how soft rice-cake is. SOLUTION: A pounding-dividing selection means 12 which can select the softness of rice cake is equipped with push button switches to select cooking operations such as 'steaming' and slide switches to select the degree of softness of rice-cake. As an example of this invention, by keeping the water volume constant to be set in a steam tank 2 and by charging low electricity to a heater controller 14 during steaming of glutinous rice, the steaming time of the glutinous rice is lengthened to obtain softer rice/cake. For example, when 'standard' is selected by a slide switch 21, a cooking controller 13 has the heater controller 14 set at 100% of electric power, a thermostat 7 is actuated when the water inside of a steam tank entirely evaporates and electricity is turned off by the heater controller 14 when activated by the cooking controller 13, thus, steaming is completed. |
