<p>An assembly introduces gas into a liquid esp. air into water and consists of an essentially horizontal frame (1) supporting a flat surface (2) on which rests a membrane (3) which is sealed around its periphery (A) to the frame. Gas is forced through lower perforations (7) in outer margins of the flat surface (2) . The gas is delivered to the lower face of the perforated surface (2) by a gas passage (5) and pipe (4), creating a gas-filled cavity between the flat surface (2) and membrane (3). The novelty is that the supporting flat surface (2) and the membrane (3) are circular, and leave a central disc space (8) free, and that the membrane is also sealed to the surface (2) at the inner margin (I) of the central disc area (8).</p> |
