The installation for loading liquefied light hydrocarbons in storage tanks is made up of a pump which discharges the liquefied light hydrocarbons from a storage tank, through a conveyor pipe line, to a loading tank. The moment when the tanks are loaded to their designed capacity is determined by weighing the tanks during loading using some lever scales, by using a flowmeter mounted on the discharge line of the filling pump, or by using a sensor that signals the presence of the liquid and is mounted on a gaseous delivery tube, which is connected to a dispersion bowl via a pipe (6) that has a valve (8), in between the pipe (6) allowing access to the bowl and a buffer vessel (9). A pipe (10) is connected to the pipe (6), that enables the gaseous phase due to vaporisation during loading of the liquefied light hydrocarbons in the tank to reach, by its own pressure, the buffer vessel (9), from where it is sucked by a compressor (11) and is then discharged, through a distributor (12), into some pressure vessels (13). If there is a sufficient volume available in the pressure vessels (13), the buffer vessel (9) and the compressor (11) have a by-pass pipe (14) through which the gaseous phase resulted during loading of the liquefied light hydrocarbons reaches the pressure vessels (13) by its own pressure. When the loading is completed, the loading pipes come in contact with the pipe (6), thus creating a new gaseous phase from the residual liquid and the gas left on the pipes that enable connection to the loading tank.
